Permanently securing family assets

Basic questions of owner strategy in focus

In order to successfully advise (entrepreneurial) families on the professionalization of their family assets, a wide range of skills are required: strategic, legal, tax and also interpersonal.

Our seminar takes a holistic look at the interdisciplinary question of how you can design typical (owner) strategic guard rails in a way that is optimal and legally sound, particularly from a tax perspective.

Target groups: Lawyers, tax consultants, bank executives, but also client advisors with UHNWI clients, wealth planners, employees of SFO (Single Family Office) and MFO (Multi Family Office)

The seminar content

  • The focus is on questions and contexts such as
  • What strategic goals should be pursued? How important are values? How are they translated into concrete decisions?
  • What might different investment models look like, e.g. growth versus maintaining existing assets, real estate, capital market and/or direct investments or new operating companies? How high should the share of liquid assets be?
  • Impact of these key decisions on the legal and tax structuring of the holding and service level, involvement of external partners (make or buy) and much more
  • What other aspects need to be taken into account (including publicity, regulatory law)?
  • How (and by whom) is operational management organized? What tasks does the family take on? What are their rights and obligations?
